BOOKKEEPER – RESIDENTIAL & ACCOUNTS PAYABLE
POSITION:
BBOOKKEEPER – RESIDENTIAL & ACCOUNTS PAYABLE – PART-TIME
RESPONSIBLE TO: Director of Finance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree in booking keeping preferred.
- Two to five years’ experience in bookkeeping.
- Ability to input and retrieve data on automated financial systems.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing applications
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
- Dexterity to operate accurately and expediently computer keyboard and other work-related equipment.
- Able to bend, stoop, read, and turn in performance of duties.
- Adequate hearing comprehension for answering phones.
- Adequate visual sharpness to perform essential job duties.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Comply with all policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and standards set by Thresholds, Network180, and relevant Federal, State, and City
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial procedures.
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data to various cost centers.
- Process band transactions for ACH payments and check positive pay.
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.
- Track and record purchasing card expenses for Group Home Supervisors.
- Reconcile and disburse petty cash checks for Group Home Supervisors.
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Prepare journal detail and General Ledger accounting reports as needed.
- Sort and file invoices and supporting documents.
- Prepare other financial reports and/or financial statements as specified by the Chief Financial Officer.
- Perform other tasks as needed in order to insure maximum efficiency for the bookkeeping function.
